Like many leading innovators, Wild Energy was also started in a garage! Founded by Mike Sorensen in 2019, Wild Energy is now the leading wireless metering company serving the campground and marina industry. Mike was a camper and customer of campgrounds throughout the Midwest. 

As he was camping with friends and family, he quickly realized that electricity was “free”.  He could consume as much energy as desired and the cost was being subsidized by those who chose to conserve or used very little energy. Wild Energy was started to help campground and marina owners utilize technology to recover the cost of providing energy and water to then allocate those costs fairly to those who were using it. We’ve been innovating since day one, and we don’t plan to stop!
