What Works Best for New Parks

Most developers ask the same thing: what setup holds up over time?

  • Full-size, freestanding pedestals
  • Surface-mounted or properly set in-ground
  • Ringless configurations

Install meter-ready pedestals from day one.

Even if you don’t plan to meter now, it avoids replacing pedestals later and keeps you ready when you do.

Compatible with Major Pedestal Manufacturers

Ring Type Meter Socket

A ring type meter socket uses a removable metal locking ring to secure the meter in place. The ring fits over the meter and locks onto the edge of the meter socket enclosure, engaging the meter curl on the housing. Once installed, the ring holds the meter firmly in position and a security seal can be added to help prevent tampering.

Ringless Meter Socket

A ringless meter socket secures the meter without the use of an external sealing ring. Instead, the meter is held in place by the socket enclosure itself. The front cover closes over the meter and includes a formed embossment that fits around the meter body, acting as the retaining mechanism. Once the cover is closed, it is secured and a security seal can be applied to the locking tab to help prevent tampering.

Marine Pedestals

Marine-style pedestals can be configured for accurate, durable metering without changing the external design.

  • Uses revenue-grade meters from EZ Meter Technologies
  • A Wild Energy relay is installed in the top cap of the pedestal for electric metering
  • Fully enclosed and protected from the elements
  • Clean, integrated appearance

Most marine pedestal manufacturers can factory-install this setup on new pedestal orders.
